Explore After the Sessions

Continue your day with an evening walk around the National Mall and memorials, dinner along the Georgetown waterfront, a visit to Dupont Circle and Embassy Row, or waterfront dining and entertainment at The Wharf. For something closer to the conference, downtown Bethesda offers a wide selection of restaurants, shops, and nightlife within easy reach of the hotel.

If You Have a Half Day

With a little more time, visit one of the Smithsonian museums, explore the Smithsonian’s National Zoo, tour the U.S. Capitol and Library of Congress, or spend an afternoon at the National Gallery of Art or U.S. Botanic Garden.

Getting Around Washington

The Bethesdan Hotel is located between the Bethesda and Medical Center stations on Metro’s Red Line, providing convenient access to downtown Washington and many popular attractions. Use Metro’s online trip planner to compare routes, review service information, and estimate travel times.

Rideshare and taxi services are also widely available throughout Bethesda and Washington. Travel times can vary considerably during weekday morning and evening rush hours, so allow additional time when returning for conference activities.
